We’ve never had an island before and I already know it’s going to be the gathering place of our home. Our kitchen is going to have all the classic elements of a traditional, english-cottage style kitchen: a warm neutral color palette, inset cabinetry, mixed metals, organic materials like stained wood and natural stone, and a shiplap ceiling! In the midst of a chaotic renovation, referring back to my mood boards has kept me from losing my mind on all the messy, everyday details and helped me “keep an eye on the prize” as they say! Our kitchen has already come such a long way (you can see some of the before pics in this blog post) and the closer we get the more excited I am to finally be able to cook a MEAL in our home…okay okay so David will be the one cooking but you get the point!
